The Band Boosters are excited to announce the Ian Faires Memorial Scholarship in honor of Mr. Faires, Porter Ridge band director from the day the doors opened in 2005, until spring of 2018. He passed away in January 2024 after a brief illness. This scholarship will be awarded in $500 increments to Porter Ridge Band Seniors who will be pursuing music in a college setting, i.e. music education, music performance, music theory etc. We are excited and humbled to honor Ian in this way, and we hope to be able to keep his legacy alive for many years to come. Donations will be used to fund this scholarship.
