NEWS YOU CAN USE
PSAT is tomorrow for all 10th and 11th graders.
Band Booster meeting tonight in the auditorium. It begins at 7 pm. Please attend as we will be giving a lot of important information out about Pirate Cove Classic as well as the rest of the season.
The band has decided to compete twice on Saturday, October 21st. The performances will be at Burns High School in the early afternoon and East Rowan High School in the evening hours.
Next week is homecoming week and the drumline will be playing at lunches on one of the days. Will inform every one of the date when I check with Student Council.
The fruit sale has begun! Please support our band program! SPREAD THE WORD!
We are still in need of donations for Pirate Cove Classic. Please read the email that was sent out concerning those items.

Tuesday – AM – This morning, we rehearsed the closer for clarity
PM – We will continue cleaning the marching and music
Wednesday – PSAT – band will not meet
Thursday – AM – We will go outside and continue cleaning the show.

Saturday - 8:15 am – Call Time – Get uniforms, load buses
8:30 am – Depart Porter Ridge HS
10:30 am – Arrive at South Caldwell HS
10:52 am – Dress
11:32 am – Warm Up
12:12 pm – Leave Warm Up
12:32 pm – First Performance
12:50 pm – Judges Comments
1:00 pm – Proceed back to buses and change out of uniforms, put instruments up
1:30 pm – proceed back to stadium, enjoy concessions, watch 1A and 2A bands perform
5:45 pm – go back to buses
6:08 pm – Dress
6:48 pm – Warm Up
7:28 pm – Leave Warm Up
7:48 pm – Perform in Class 4A
8:00 pm – Proceed Back to Buses, change out of uniform, load trailers
8:45 pm – go back to stadium for awards
9:20 pm – Awards
9:50 pm – Awards End – go back to buses
10:00 pm – Depart for South Caldwell
12:00 am – Arrive at Porter Ridge
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Saturday such a long day?
We will be performing twice at South Caldwell. The first performance allows us to get immediate feedback from a judge without worrying about being in a competitive environment. The second will be for the competition.
What is needed for donations for Pirate Cove Classic?
At least 2 large grills to cook hamburgers and hot dogs
Soft Drinks, Gatorade, Bottled Water
Gift cards or certificates to local grocery stores or big box stores so we can buy hamburgers and hot dogs
