Frequently Asked Questions
Is East Meck bringing their band on Friday?
Yes, they are bringing a pep band, but will not march
What does my child wear underneath their uniform?
Students will need to wear their band t-shirt and shorts underneath the uniform. This way, when the jacket is taken off, they will all look uniform. If the band t-shirt is not worn underneath the uniform jacket, then they will not be allowed to take off the jacket.
What does my child need to wear to rehearsal on Saturday?
Typically, the students wear their band t-shirt and shorts, however, as long as they are wearing school appropriate clothes, then I am fine. However, they will need to wear their band t-shirt at McBee. This way, they can be easily identified by our band parents amongst the other students at the competition. Again, if the band t-shirt is not worn underneath the uniform jacket, then they will not be allowed to take off the jacket.
Can my child eat on the bus on the way to McBee?
Yes, but they need to make sure they clean up any trash they have. We are charged $50 for every piece of trash left on the bus.
Does my child need money for concessions at McBee?
Yes, unless they have dietary needs that are not met by standard concessions. In that case, your student may need to pack food that is specific to their dietary needs.
How much do concessions cost at McBee?
Each competition has concession prices that are set by the individual booster clubs at the school. Those prices were not sent with the director’s information. Unfortunately, I do not have an exact answer for that question.
How much does it cost to get in the gate at McBee?
Spectator admission tickets for the price of $7.00 for Adults, $3.00 for Senior Citizens and children ages 3-12. Children under 3 are FREE.
How many chaperone passes will we get?
Band Directors will receive one chaperone badge for every ten students.
That’s all for this week! Thanks!
