Frequently Asked Questions

What time is after school rehearsal?
3:45 – 6:00 pm – Tuesday and Thursdays
Is after school rehearsal required?
What do we wear to the game?
Until we put on our regular band uniform, we will wear the summer band uniform. The summer uniform is: Current Band T-Shirt, Band Shorts, socks, tennis shoes
What do we wear to rehearsals?
Make sure you wear appropriate school clothing to outside practices. It is not required to wear the summer uniform to rehearsals.
What is Football 101?
Mr. Parson has offered to help us to understand the game of football. As a note of gradual release of responsibility to the students, I have decided to not conduct stand tunes this year but instead, leave it up to the drum majors. As a result, many of the students need a deeper understanding of the game, why we cheer and when we are supposed to play. Therefore, we are offering this session to the band on Friday at 5 pm. We know that many students choose to stay after school before games, so, we would like to have this session. Please make plans to attend. Thank you!
Can my child stay after school on Friday before the game?
Yes, however, students will need to stay out of the cafeteria while the football team eats. Students will also need to understand that this is NOT a time for poor self-discipline. Students should understand the responsibility of acting in a mature manner if they stay after school.
Have a great week!
